Note from Superintendent Swanson: Sept. 18, 2019

Dear Westminster Community,

The Westminster Homecoming Parade on Saturday morning was one of those events that make me love my job and this community.

As a judge of the more than two dozen floats that rolled through the streets of Westminster, I had the best seat in the house to see the smiling faces of our students, staff and families. You can see the parade in its entirety and pictures from the day here.

I was overjoyed to see the number of elementary and middle schools that chose to participate this year. Their involvement makes the parade a true community-wide event that brings everyone together and makes Westminster Public Schools a place where “Education is Personal.”

The floats showed a wide range of creativity and hard work that characterizes WPS.

I want to thank everyone who contributed to the success of our “Candy Land” themed parade and remind our area dentists that, “Yes”, we do encourage our kids to brush their teeth every night and I hope they worked overtime on Saturday night.
