2020 Westminster High School Virtual Graduation

On Saturday, May 16, at 6 p.m., members of the Westminster High School Class of 2020 will gather around their home computers to experience a once in a lifetime rite of passage—high school graduation. Watch the ceremony here.

Their virtual graduation ceremony is not what anybody wanted or envisioned, but every effort has been made to make it a unique and special event. Westminster Public Schools has contracted with VEGO Pictures to produce the event, which will include speeches from Principal Kiffany Kiewiet, as well as class and district leaders.

Hidden Lake High School will celebrate its graduation on Thursday, May 21 at 3 p.m.

Both graduations will be available to view at mywps.org/graduation.

Superintendent Dr. Pamela Swanson has told graduates that if at all possible, an in-person event will be held during the summer, possibly August 8.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, school districts across the country have been scrambling to come up with special ways to honor the class of 2020.

CBS 4 Denver stopped by to look at the behind the scenes work that has gone into making this graduation one to remember.
