Walmart Pitches in to Help WPS Students

During normal times, students in Westminster Public Schools are great at sharing supplies and workspaces to complete class projects and artwork, but because of COVID-19 that is no longer possible—all kids need their own supplies.

With the help of Westminster High School graduate Nicholas Theye (2013), the Walmart at 72nd and  Sheridan stepped up to help. The store has excess back to school supplies and Nicholas, whose mom, Billie, is Assistant Director of Nutrition Services, suggested giving them to WPS students.

Walmart quickly got on board and as you can see, the kids received the supplies they need and an important lesson.
