Market Night Feeds 600 Westminster Families a Week
Hundreds of Westminster families made their way to City Park Recreation Center on Wednesday night to receive a box of fresh food and a restaurant gift card thanks to the new Drive-Thru Market Night sponsored by the City of Westminster and coordinated by Senior Hub. Split into two lanes of vehicles, the flow of traffic moved smoothly as volunteers passed out gift cards and loaded up boxes of food in peoples’ trunks.
“Westminster Public Schools is a great partner,” said Abby Fitch, Senior Deputy City Clerk with the City of Westminster. “They have gotten the word out and not only is this program helping students, but it’s helping their whole family.”
This program is set to run every Wednesday night from 4-6 p.m. through December. For more information, please call 303-706-FOOD (3663).
