A new tradition was born at Orchard Park Academy on September 15. The first-ever Puma Prowl Fun Run kicked off at 8:15 a.m. with preschoolers running laps around the field. For the rest of the morning, students in grades K-8 would trickle out onto the field and run as many laps as they could. Several families stopped by to support their students and meet the Parent Teacher Organization that put together the event.

The Puma Prowl Fun Run was organized to call attention to the need for students to get healthy and to solicit the community to support their local school. Leading up to the event, students gathered sponsor pledges to raise money for various school programs. As part of its commitment to creating a healthy community, VASA Fitness provided a yearlong fitness membership for the top six earners.
