LatinaCon is Coming to Westminster June 12
Latina leaders from across the region are coming together to create an intentional space for building community and connection with Westminster Public Schools middle and high school students who identify as Latina and their families. This is going to be a space for young Latina students to connect and be inspired by other Latina leaders! Join us on June 12 for a morning of cohort sessions for middle and high school students along with sessions for those trusted adults who attend with their student. Students and families can look forward to having conversations about leadership, mentorship, confidence and self-esteem, college prep, FAFSA and much more.
This conference for Latinas by Latinas is the first of its kind in Westminster Public Schools and we’re excited to host this event at the new Daniel C. Vallez Family Education Center, formerly the site of the Perl Mack Community Center just east of 72nd and Pecos. The center will meet the needs of students and their families in the community with services ranging from language support to general health care.
Register today to sign up for this exciting opportunity for Latina students in our community to connect and have important conversations.
