Wolves, Heroes Set to Graduate
Classes are done … now it’s time to celebrate.
On Saturday, May 20, graduates from Westminster High School will walk across the stage at the First Bank Center in Broomfield at 6 p.m. Tickets are not required for the event, but families and guests should arrive early as security checks will be required.
The First Bank Center at 11450 Broomfield Lane in Broomfield is just off of Wadsworth Boulevard and Highway 36.
Hidden Lake High School is holding its ceremony at a brand-new venue, the elegant Ellie Caulkins Opera House in the Denver Center for Performing Arts at 10:00 a.m. Families should plan ample time for parking at the performing arts complex downtown and also allow time to pass through the security checkpoints as well. A reminder that balloons, noise makers, and other similar items will not be allowed inside the venue at 1385 Curtis Street.
On Friday, May 12, Westy seniors said goodbye to their school at the annual “Moving Up” ceremony in the school gymnasium. Principal Kiffany Kiewiet celebrated the annual right of passage that included a basketball game between staff and students and the traditional walk out of the building as teachers lined up to say their goodbyes and shed a few tears.
