Weekly Update for May 24th-28th

Good Afternoon CSA Families,

It’s very bittersweet that this is the last Friday update you will be receiving from me for this school year.  As we say goodbye to the 2020-2021 school year, we say goodbye to the stresses of the unknowns and the challenges of remote learning.  But we also say goodbye to our students.  Whether in-person or remote, our students have overcome so many challenges this school year.  We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and resiliency.  I know I can speak for our entire staff when I say they deserve an amazing summer break!

Although this is my last weekly update of the school year, this is not the last time you will hear from me.  Please look for an email from me next week with information on how to access your student’s academic report.  In addition, I will be sending out another message mid-June with information for next school year.

This update is lengthy and includes a lot of information for the end of the year and summer programming.

Chromebook Return for Remote Learners

We will be collecting Chromebooks and power cords on May 26th, May 27th and May 28th at the middle school marquis from 2:45-3:45pm.  We will run a quick diagnostics test to ensure there is no damage to the Chromebook.  If the Chromebook is damaged a fine will be assessed and added to your account unless your family previously purchased our district protection plan.  A notification will be sent to inform you of any fines.   If your student is doing the extended school year or our home learning challenge, we will check in their Chromebook and then check it out again to the extended school year account.  All devices not returned will be disabled in June and charged to your account.  Please contact our office if you need to make alternate arrangements.

Summer Programming

All families who signed up for summer programming received an email with specific details for your child. You can also view all details by clicking here.

Yearbook

There will be a limited amount of yearbooks available for $25 each at both the Elementary and Middle School buildings starting Monday, May 24th. You can purchase in person via cash or check (made out to Jostens) or you can purchase online at www.jostens.com (preferred method) and we will send the yearbook home with your child. If you purchase through Jostens.com, please forward your confirmation email to Kfrey@westminsterpublicschools.org

COVID-19 Reminders

If your child is experiencing any symptoms or has been exposed to COVID-19, please call 303-429-STEM  during school hours or email me directly at bmartin@mywps.org at any time of day.

As always, thank you for your continued support of CSA.
