WHS FCCLA Chapter Recognized for Community Service and Outreach Efforts

Although the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference did not happen in person this year due to COVID-19, the Colorado State Officers reached out to Westminster High School FCCLA in order to honor the chapter for their community service efforts. Westy FCCLA was awarded the coveted “Spirit Stick of Service” based on the number of points awarded to chapters for community service, leadership with other CTE Student Organizations (CTSOs) and local community organizations, and outreach through social media posts promoting FCCLA’s mission. This year, our chapter will continue to contribute to the Westminster community in more creative ways. Projects that we have planned for the year include: Senior for Seniors pen pals, City of Westminster Honor the Land and Stream park clean-ups, food and clothing drives for Growing Home, Moms and Mutts blanket and treat donations and so much more!
