WHS Students Design and Plant Tennyson Knolls Sensory Garden
On Friday, May 14, students from Westminster High School (WHS) agriculture class and the greenhouse group planted their landscape design at the Tennyson Knolls Preparatory School sensory garden. Students presented their ideas back in April to Tennyson Knolls Principal Heather McGuire, they took feedback and made changes to create the final design. This was also an opportunity for WHS Senior, Jazmin Ponce Escoto, to give back to her own elementary school as she attended Tennyson Knolls as a student. Jazmin was just awarded the Colorado Garden Foundation full-ride Scholarship to Colorado State University. She will be majoring in Environmental Horticulture to focus on helping communities with limited access to fresh produce and create sustainable sources for food.
