WHS ECE Students Extend Their Learning at the Children's Museum
Westy's Early Childhood Education (ECE) students had the opportunity to travel to the Children's Museum of Denver to conduct child observations focusing on the various types of play and how vital the role of free play is to proper development. The excitement was high and the learning was rich! The students experienced numerous a-ha moments as they saw classroom theory come to life. The museum offers an array of exhibits designed to provide children with the opportunity to explore S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) through free play. The opportunity to go onsite to gain real-world experience is one of the key reasons learning in our CTE programs here at Westy are so impactful. Our ECE students would like to thank the Children's Museum for this invaluable opportunity!
