Tennyson Knolls Elementary is about to get a facelift and the employees of Comcast can’t wait to pitch in and renovate the school.
May 2nd is “Comcast Cares Day” when employees from the cable giant identify projects across the world they want to become involved with and volunteers pitch in to make a difference. Last year, more than 120,000 employees worked on 1450 projects in 23 countries.
Hidden Lake High School and Colorado STEM Academy were on the receiving end of Comcast’s generosity last spring.
A team from Comcast visited Tennyson Knolls on February 14 to meet with Principal Heather McGuire and members of the operations department. They worked together to identify projects that employees could work on to improve the school.
The work will be especially meaningful because next fall Tennyson Knolls will open as Tennyson Knolls Preparatory School offering a PK-8 option for families. Renovation plans for the school are already in the works so that it can provide plenty of space for expanded grade levels.
