Letter from our Principal

Dear Scott Carpenter Students and Families,

Congratulations on making it through the first semester! Students have really been working hard to meet their goals and pass their levels. That being said, students, expect to have a new schedule when you return on January 7th. Many students have completed levels, which requires us to shift schedules around.

On January 7th, students will report to their first period class from first semester. From there, the teacher will hand out schedule and answer any questions they can. Once academic enrichment is done (or first period) students will follow their new schedule for the remainder of the day.

Any student wishing to make a schedule change must do so by January 18th. Schedule changes can be made through the counseling department. After January 18th, teacher and parent signature will be required and final decisions about schedule changes will be made by administration.

Any student wanting to opt in to be a student assistant, rather than take an elective, must not be behind in their learning targets. We are also limiting student assistants to responsible 8th graders, only. Being a student assistant is a privilege for students that are consistently following directions and completing work!

I hope you have a wonderful, safe holiday break!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to stop by the main office.

Warm Regards,

Camile Carlson

Principal
