As the weather cools and the leaves begin to change, we welcome fall and all the homecoming events that come along with it. On Saturday, Oct. 9, the weeklong celebration kicks-off with an “Out of This World” themed homecoming parade from 10 to 11:30 a.m. We look forward to seeing floats from various schools, sports, clubs and activities, as well as school and district business partners travel the streets of Westminster. Those who are interested in submitting a float registration form can do so here.

The parade route starts on the South side of Westminster High School. Turn East on 68th to Lowell Ave. Turn North on Lowell to 76th Ave. Turn West on 76th to Bradburn Blvd. Turn South on Bradburn to 72nd Ave. Turn West on 72nd to Raleigh St. The parade route ends when you turn South on Raleigh into the North side of Westminster High School.

The celebration continues on Oct. 13 at the Westminster High School (WHS) Jr. vs Sr. Powder Puff Game at Memorial Stadium. The game begins at 6:30 p.m. and entry is $2 per person or 2 non-perishable goods that will be donated to our local food bank, A Growing Home.

The WHS Homecoming football game will also take place at Memorial Stadium on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. The Wolves will take on Adams City High School and the team asks that fans wear black to support Westy.
