Message from the Principal:
Dear ECC Families,
Wow, I can’t believe we are in the last month of the 2018-2019 school year. It has been a very busy, but exciting year! I would like to thank all of the parents that have been able to join us at one of our family activities throughout the year and a huge THANK YOU to our wonderful PTO!
As a reminder, if you are preparing to register future preschoolers or if you know of any preschool age children these are the guidelines that we follow in Westminster Public Schools: Preschoolers must be 3 years old by October 1st to apply for the 3 year old preschool program, or 4 years old by October 1st, to apply for the 4 year old preschool program and must be 5 years old by October 1st, in order to apply for Kindergarten.
I look forward to seeing all of you at the end-of-year activities for the school. The ECC Fun Day/Carnival is on May 22nd and is the last day for children in the 3 year old program. Graduation is on May 23rd at 8:30 AM for morning students and 12:30 PM for afternoon students. We will be showing a slideshow of the students and staff starting at 8:00 and 12:00. We hope to see everyone there!
Have a wonderful summer!
Early Childhood Center Principal
Placement letters: We will be sending out information regarding your child’s placement for the 2019-2020 school year in late May. This letter will include information for students placed in the half day program at the Early Childhood Center. Parents will also be informed if their child will be in the AM or PM session and if they qualified for the Colorado Preschool Program grant. Students will be notified of their assigned teacher and room in early August by postcard or letter. In this letter we will also include information on August activities such as “Back to School Night” or “Meet the Teacher” appointments and the school supply list.
The ECC will be having spirit week, the week of May 13th! We hope you all enjoy dressing a little crazy to celebrate the wonderful school year.
Monday-Crazy sock day
Tuesday-Crazy hair day
Thursday-Crazy hat day
We hope everyone will be able to join us for Fun Day on Monday, May 22nd. The AM session will participate from 9:30-11:00 and the PM session will be from 12:00-1:30. Please join us in celebrating the end of a successful academic year! This will be the last day for students in the 3 year old program.
Our ECC Graduation ceremony for students going on to Kindergarten will be held on May 23rd at 8:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. This is a chance to say congrats and goodbye to another wonderful group of 4 year old students. The students will each receive a “diploma” and families will view a slide show of the whole year. We invite all 4 year old parents and their extended family members to attend. Please arrive early because space is limited and our parking lot is small!
Motheread/Fatheread & Parent Coffee
I want to thank everyone who attended Motheread/Fatheread and the Parent Coffees this school year. It was a pleasure to have met each of you and I feel very fortunate to have been able to establish so many wonderful friendships with you all! Parent Involvement is a key factor in your child’s educational success and you are all off to a great start! Don’t forget to keep on reading during the summer months!
We will celebrate on May 15th at 8:15 and 12:15.
