Message from the Principal:
Hello Parents, Families, and Community Members,
Let me start by thanking all of you who attended our Fall Carnival. It was a wonderful event and fun was had by all. Huge thanks goes out to our ECC PTO and volunteers who put in countless hours to plan and run this event!
We look forward to seeing you all at our first Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, November 6th, or Thursday, November 7th. This will be a great opportunity for you to see how your child is preforming in school!
Just a friendly reminder to pack a change of clothes (including socks and underwear) in your child’s backpack!
Change in Calendar
There has been a change in the district calendar. The non-student contact day originally scheduled for April 27 has been moved to May 4. There will be regular classes on April 27 and no school for students on May 4.
ECC Field Trip
Our first field trip will be in November to the Museum of Nature and Science. The AM session will go on Monday, November 11th and the PM session will go on Tuesday, November 12th. Please arrive at school at 9:00am and pick up your child from the school at 1:00pm. Please have your child wear their ECC blue T-shirt the day of the field trip and pack a sack lunch. If you are a new to the ECC, your child’s teacher will give you a T-shirt, if you are a returning student and have misplaced your shirt, you can purchase one in the office for $5.00.
Student attendance is a priority at the ECC, however we do not want students at school sick. Please call the office if your child will be out. Students cannot learn if they are not in school!
Parent Teacher conferences is a great time to learn about how your child is doing in class. During this event your child’s classroom teacher will present data about how your child has been performing this year. You will receive a packet of useful information about your child’s progress and specific activities that you can use at home to work on with your child. This will also be a great opportunity to ask your child’s teacher questions that you may have.
Late Start Days
Parents should have received an automated announcement from WPS about late start days due to weather. If a late start day is called for the district, the morning session will be cancelled for that day. Afternoon session will have a normal school day.
Next P.T.O. meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 13th at 8:15am & 12:15pm.Hope everyone can make it!
The building is in need a few items! If you are able to donate, we would greatly appreciate it.
