Message from the Principal:
Greetings Preschool Families,
I hope you have had a warm and restful Thanksgiving holiday. I am extremely thankful for the volunteers we have at the ECC. We truly could not do it without them. I would like to personally thank our PTO Officers for all her hard work and dedication to our students and staff.
We have a variety of events occurring in December to help students celebrate the beginning of winter. We will kick off our winter events with story time in the gym on Dec 10th. Please have your child wear pajamas for this event and read the enclosed information for other celebrations. I look forward to seeing you at the Early Childhood Center.
This time of year can be stressful for families. Keep in mind the greatest gift we can give children is our undivided attention. Roll a snowball, play pretend, schedule 15 to 20 minutes a day to play with your child.
I wish you all a wonderful holiday season.
Please make sure your child comes prepared for the weather. Classrooms will be going outside most days, so your child needs to wear appropriate clothing! If you need assistance with winter clothing, please contact the ECC office.
December will be a very busy month for PTO! The following are events that are taking place:
During our December meeting, we will be decorating and preparing for Santa’s visit.
Santa will make his annual visit to the ECC on December 17th & 18th. Classes will be allowed to take photos (individually and as a class) with Santa. If you would like your child not to participate in this activity, please inform your child’s classroom teacher and a suitable alternative activity will be provided.
ECC Winter Celebration
Please join us on December 19th at 8:30 AM & 12:30 PM, in the gym for the ECC Winter Celebration. Your child will be demonstrating a song that they have learned this year. We will also celebrate the season with our families as we enjoy cookies and juice.
Have-A-Heart Giving Tree
If you are interested in donating a gift for a child sponsored by Have-A-Heart, please stop by the office as soon as possible for details. Thank you!
As the weather starts to get cooler and we get more snow the district may call a delayed start. If a delated start is announced, there will be no class for the AM session. The PM session will continue as a normal school day.
This month, the preschool staff received their annual training on CPR and First Aid. Safety is very important to us and these trainings are a wonderful way to continue our education.
Does your child need health care? Kids First Health Care is attached to our school and can provide well care and sick visits for your children. Please stop by for an appointment or call 303-428-4384
