Message from the Principal:

Hello ECC Families:

2020 has been a very busy year already!  Teachers have completed the mid-year GOLD checkpoint on all students and students have been making great progress toward their individual learning goals!  Teachers will be sharing this progress during Parent/Teacher Conferences in March. Registration for the 2020/2021 school year opens February 6th. Please use your parent portal information to login to Infinite Campus and register. A reminder that there has been a change in the district calendar. The non-student contact day originally scheduled for April 27 has been moved to May 4.  There will be regular classes on April 27 and no school for students on May 4.

Best Regards,

Jennifer Keyes

P.T.O. News:

Please join us for the PTO meeting on February 12th at 8:15 or 12:15 in room 15.  All students will receive a donation box to collect money for “Pennies for Patients”, on February 6th, all money will be donated to the leukemia society. Donations are due on Thursday, February 28th.

Registration for 2020/2021:

Parents should have received information about registration in Thursday folders.  All students must re-register to attend Preschool or Kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year. We are requiring students to attend their elementary neighborhood school for 4-year-old preschool if that school has a preschool program. The WPS elementary schools that have half-day preschool are: Fairview, Hodgkins, and Harris Park Elementary all other students will be placed at the Early Learning Center at Gregory Hill.  If your child will be entering the 4-year-old program (4 by Oct. 1, 2020), you can enter the lottery to attend the full-day preschool programs.  Upon submission of a completed application, participants will be randomly selected to attend full day. The first round of lottery will occur on March 16th, so register soon! If your child is not selected, WPS will try to secure a half day placement for your student. Please stop by the office if you need help or more information about this.

Motheread/Fatheread will meet on February 26th in Room 9 @ 8:15 AM & 12:15 PM.  Come join us for another great story and a book to share with everyone in your home!

Parent Coffee Meetings

It’s so nice to see so many families involved at the ECC!  Parent Coffees are another great opportunity for families to get involved!  Our next Parent Coffee will be February 19th in room 9 at 8:15AM and 12:15PM.
