Dear Westminster Public School families,
We hope you have a safe and healthy summer break and enjoy your time with family and friends. Summer is a wonderful time to create memories that will last a lifetime.
This web page provides a lot of valuable information about how to get the most out of the summer months and how you can do it on a budget. We are providing details about the WPS free summer food program and information about free and low-cost events that are both fun and informative.
We believe it is critical that learning continues over the summer. Whether it’s a trip to the museum, checking a book out from the library, or going on a nature walk we encourage everyone to make good use of their free time by expanding their minds and exercising their bodies.
As you plan your summer schedule, remember that Saturday, August 3 is the date for our Third Annual Back to School BBQ and Backpack Giveaway. We will be handing out new backpacks and school supplies to WPS students during a day filled with food, fun and music.
Look for more details on the event as the date comes closer. We will update our website as new information becomes available, and send all families a phone call and email reminder as well.
Also, if you have not yet checked out The Westminster Boys & Girls Club, now is the time to become familiar with what the club has to offer. It’s a resource to utilize during the summer months and continue to access at the start of the school year.
Here’s to a memorable summer!
